Jyoti Sohar Switchgear LLC was incorporated in 2000. The Company is promoted jointly by Jyoti Ltd. and the Omar Zawawi Establishment (OMZEST), Sultanate of Oman. The Company is located in Sohar Industrial Estate, Sohar, Sultanate of Oman and manufactures Medium Voltage Metal Clad Switchgear for 12 KV System and Relay & Control Panels, under technical collaboration with Jyoti Ltd. Jyoti Sohar Switchgear LLC has supplied more than 2000 Panels to various Electricity Utilities in Oman.

JSS LLC has grown over the years and today supplies nearly 50% of the market requirement. JSS LLC is one of the leading Medium Voltage Switchgear Company which has JV to manufacture Medium Voltage Switchgear Panels locally and cater the customer needs.

• Type-tested at KEMA, The Netherlands & PEHLA – Ratigen, Germany as per above standards
• All H.T. Compartments tested for internal power arc test as per relevant standards to ensure maximum safety

Construction

VK Range of Circuit Breakers

A compact, lightweight construction optimized to give minimum weight to KA ratio.

• Floor – drawn full track design.
• A unique ‘U” shaped insulation barrier housing the vacuum interrupters imparting maximum mechanical strength against electro-dynamic forces and providing most effective phase-to-phase and phase-to-earth segregation.
• A simple motor as well as manually charged spring operation mechanism known for its high performance reliability.

        

PH Range of Panels

The metal-clad panel is fully extensible and fully compartmentalized into:

• Circuit Breaker Compartment
• Busbar Compartment
• CT and Cable Compartment
• A Separate L.T. Compartment is provided on top of the panel, on the front side, for fixing necessary instrumentation, metering and protective equipment.

33kV CONTROL & RELAY PANEL FOR HV SWITCHGEAR & CAPACITOR

• Conforming to OES Standards
• Panel is rigid, free standing, dead front type
• Preformed steel sheet bolted construction
• Conforms to enclosure protection of IP42
• Panel is designed on state-of-the-art 3D CAD/CAM stations and manufactured on latest CNC machines
• Well defined internal and external device layout for easy erection & maintenance, ergonomic operation and aesthetic looks.

General Approval from MHEW (DCRP)

The Switchgear manufactured by M/s Jyoti Sohar Switchgear has received a General Approval Letter from the Ministry of Housing, Electricity and Water, Sultanate of Oman.
